Baja Barbacoa

A new twist on traditional Barbacoa from Mexico’s Pacific coast. Slightly spicy and very tender with abundant Mexican flavors throughout.

 1 ½ cups water
 1 pouch Orrington Farms® Slow Cookers Tender Pot Roast Seasoning
 3 ½ lbs chuck roast
 1 tsp ground cumin
 2 tsp ground chili powder

Mix water and seasoning vigorously with whisk

Place meat in slow cooker and pour sauce over it

Add cumin and chili powder

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours

Tips & Tricks: Remove meat from slow cooker and serve with warm tortillas, bread, or on top of noodles or rice. Top with remaining sauce, sour cream, chopped onions, salsa, and more.
