2 cups prepared Orrington Farms® Broth Base Ham Flavored – With Other Natural Flavor
3 ½ lbs pork butt
1 whole chopped yellow onion
1 tbsp granulated garlic
2 tsp chili pepper
1 tsp chipotle powder
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp Mexican oregano
2 cans (12 oz) white hominy, strained
1 To make this Mexican posole recipe mix heated water with Orrington Farms® Broth Base Ham Flavored – With Other Natural Flavor
2 Place meat in slow cooker and cover with sauce
3 Add remaining ingredients (except for the white hominy) and cook on low for 7 hours until tender
4 30 minutes prior to finishing cooking, shred the pork and add the hominy into the slow cooker to allow the flavors to meld
5 Product will be ready to serve.
