Chicken & Chorizo Gumbo


Mexico meets Louisiana in this KPFG version of a classic New Orleans Gumbo. Mix it up a little and give our bowl a serious try.

2 cups water, heated

1 pouch Orrington Farms Vegetable Beef Stew Seasoning

1 ½ lbs diced or pulled chicken

1 ½ lbs RTC chorizo sausage

2 Tbsp. prepared blackening seasoning


1Mix water and Orrington Farms Vegetable Beef Stew Seasoning until fully combined

2Place remaining ingredients in slow cooker set on low for 5 hours

3Pour sauce over all and cook for 5 hours or until tender

Tips & Tricks: Ladle over white rice and serve topped with hot sauce alongside crusty French bread.
